Jenny is currently studying Dental Surgery at The University of Hong Kong. Before entering HKU, she graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Food and Nutritional Sciences with the aim to learn nutrition as preventive medicine.

She was the president of the CW Chu College Service Team and has organized a year-long peer mentoring program for the socially disadvantaged youths, as well as carried out quantitative research for the evaluation of the project efficacy. She was also a Health Ambassador to convey health messages on campus. In the hope of helping teenagers to express themselves through art therapy, she volunteered in the Pediatrics and Adolescence medicine outpatient clinic at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Aspiring to serve with her knowledge and skills, she designed affordable and nutritious recipes for the refugees in Hong Kong along with other students. She is also participating in different dental outreach programs with the aim of promoting oral health to the general public.

Through the connections of The D. H. Chen Foundation Scholarship, Jenny believes exchanging ideas among scholars can amplify positive impacts in society. To her, the Scholarship is an valuable opportunity to meet other students from different disciplines and aspirations. In order to achieve the goal of alleviating patients’ pain and suffering, Jenny is determined to be one of the dental professionals to provide quality care to restore patients’ smile.
